To all the veterans,
It is quite possible for those who are not from a military family to consider Veterans Day as just another day of no work and no school, which was the case for me for many years. But as I get to know our church, I come to realize all the more, the reality of our veterans’ sacrifice.
Their sacrifice is not just the years they have dedicated for the country, but the best years of their lives. Their sacrifice was not just the best years of their lives, but the best years from their family’s lives as well.
Not only as a pastor, not only as a US citizen, but more as a person, I would like to say thank you to all the veterans, past present and future. Because of the traces of discipline, courage, love, and sacrifice they have left behind, we stand where we stand. Indeed, “freedom is not free.”
God bless you all,
Pastor Oliver Lee
